Chatting with the Ohana Market brands - Part 4
Ohana Market: new discoveries and magical nights in Porto
September was a special month for Ohana Market – between surprising brands and unique events, the city was once again filled with creativity, stories and positive energy. We got to know the Montados de Sobras project, Dram Ive and Atelier Folk, as well as the Night in the Crystal Palace Gardens and 3 spots in Vila Nova de Gaia.
1. assembled from leftovers
Cork, one of Portugal’s most symbolic materials, is given new life by the Montados de Sobras brand. Corks are transformed into original objects such as frames, bases or even small sculptures. Each piece shows how sustainability can go hand in hand with creativity, rescuing what would otherwise be waste and turning it into art.
2. Dram Ive
Dram Ive ‘s products – bags, backpacks and much more – are meticulously produced on Portuguese soil, combining quality, design and differentiation. Each collection reflects the soul of a young and timeless brand, designed for those looking for style combined with authenticity.
3. Atelier Folk
Focused on handmade design, where each piece reflects authenticity, tradition and clean aesthetics. From folk to contemporary, Atelier Folk mixes influences and materials with elegance and its own identity.
4.Nights in the Palace Gardens
The weekend of September 13 and 14 was unforgettable. Ohana Market took 15 brands to the heart of the Crystal Palace Gardens and, for two days, was part of the Palace Gardens Nights – an event where music, culture and creativity meet.
Between illuminated stalls, open-air concerts and hundreds of visitors, the atmosphere was unique. Families, friends and festival-goers passed through our space, discovered brands full of identity and took away special pieces, memories and good conversations.
It was an intense two days, with lots of smiles and positive energy, which showed how much local talent can come to life at events of this scale.
MARKETS IN VILA NOVA DE GAIA
Between September 22 and 28, Ohana Market crossed the bridge and made its presence felt in Vila Nova de Gaia with a special edition in three emblematic locations:
Serra do Pilar – September 22 and 23
Civic Center – September 24 and 25
Jardim do Morro – September 26 to 28
These were days of great energy, designer brands, visitors and a unique setting between Porto and Gaia.
Ohana continues to grow and this was another stage that showed how the urban market can transform spaces and create new experiences.
A month of meetings
Ohana Market continues to be a point of connection between those who create and those looking for authentic projects. Whether it’s the sustainability of cork, the magical atmosphere of the Palácio Gardens or the originality of Dram Ive, September proves once again that national talent deserves to be celebrated and shared.
Keep following us in future editions and always discover something new in Porto’s most creative urban market.
Ohana Market is more than a market
